Lothlorien
We are on the Fellowship of the Rings Tour
Tour created by D.J. on Jan. 5, 1997
Shire -> Bree -> Weathertop -> Rivendell -> Caradhras -> Moria -> Lothlorien -> Conclusion
Here's the entrance to forest of Lothlorien, the wonderful, beautiful keep of elves. In a few of the trees we have elf centuries guarding the entrance and spying on intrusions. One of these elves, Haldir, could speak common and had a meeting of confirmation with the elf guardians and Frodo and Legolas, in order to be sure this Company was okay. The Company stayed for the night here, the hobbits in that tall tree and the others in the bending tree over there. In the night time, orcs were coming through and Haldir warned the hobbits of that, but there was also Gollum sneaking up the tree and then escaping when Haldir checked it out. In the morning Haldir and the other elves were to help the Company get to Lothlorien, but dwarves are not to see the route and so must be blind folded. Attendant, please blind-fold our dwarf guests. Gimli didn't want this, so Aragorn insisted that the whole Company be blind folded for the duration of the trip. That place with encased trees is Lothlorien. Notice how high the walls are. The Company had to walk around the whole thing in order to enter. Here we are inside the fort of Lothlorien. The largest tree in the center is where the rulers, Galadriel and Celeborn stay. These two greeted the Company and allowed them to stay the night. Now our touring craft will propell itself up to the top of the trees so hold on. In that small room near the top, Galadriel allowed Frodo and Sam to look at their fortunes with her mirror. Sam saw a garden, what he desired, but Frodo saw the eye of the Dark Lord trying to see him, what he feared. She possesed the Three, the ring, and also had the Dark Lord attempting to see her. Now that we've exitted Lothlorien, you may remove your blind-folds.
