Red is the person asking the question (not me)

Green is me

Other non-black colors are the same person as in the previous paragraph, except the color is shifted one up on the rainbow and represents a change in email. For example yellow would follow a green which would mean that I am sending a second email without a response to the first one

Subject: HELP!!!!!!

In The Legend Of Zelda Link's Awakning.how do you get the 5 th signpost in the "signpost maze"!!!???

That was a fun game. It's a little rusty in my mind, though. I'll check my NP's for the answer! Expect to hear from me soon :-)

Sorry, I'm not sure where the Sign Post maze is in Zelda for GB. If you give me some specifics like where it is on the map, or which instrument you find next, I'll have a better chance of helping you. Don't forget that persistency is the best policy and find that sign :-)

go out of Mabe Village.then go down your see a tetephone Booth. then keep going down.then cross the pits with the feather and boots.then go down and your there!!! the frist one is where the pits are.

Thanks for the specifics. If worse comes to worse, I'll simple whip out the game and figure it out myself! Good luck, adventurer ---|=

Use the grappling hook. I'm not sure exactly which dungeon you get the neat item, but you cannot complete the sign-post maze until you get it. Good luck and happy chaining <|------=

I want to know what to do with the horse Chi Tu Ma. I have found it but I dont know which general can use it.

Well, I've never heard of this game before, but I'll look it up. It might go quicker if you specify which system the game was for. I'll start searching it as a NES game. Good luck :-)

Destiny of an Emperor is a original NES game. Anything that you can find will be helpful.

I'll do my best :-)

I have checked all over my Nintendo Powers and have found only that Destiny of an Emporer was made near the end of 1991. I can't help you but hopefully someone will email you with the answer. Good luck :-)

I was wondering if you new how to get to the minus levels in Super Mario Bros 1 I always heard it was possible to get there but I don't know how to do it or if it is possible.
Thanks Please Email me if you know anything about it.
JB Hochman

Thank you for your inquiry. It's definitely possible to get to negative levels, since I recently looked at my Mario Stategy guide and it said so. I'll email you soon to tell you the answer.

Thanks a lot bro!!!!!!!
JB

No Prob :-)

I hate it when I can't find something. I'm sorry to say that I searched all over my libraries, but couldn't find anything about the negative levels. As soon as I find it though, I'll get back to you. Good luck in the mean time (=M=)

Hey man, know any places to get some good walthroughs, for like Lufia 2, and Arcana, Wizardry, and Brandish?

Wall throughs? You mean passwords to bypass wall? I'll check my NP to see, but I don't think I contain any or even that they exist. You may wish to try Nintendo Power directly or some other gaming establishment.

Subject: RPG games

Hello, I have a Super Nes and would like to know if you know of any games that are role playing or adventurous with out the combat. I am only in for the mystery and puzzles, not the FIGHTING. Do you know of any games made for SNES.That fit what I am looking for. I already did Mistic Quest. LOVED IT.

[email protected]

I agree that RPG's are superior to action flicks because of the stratagy components not the reaction time and agility of the thumbs. My favorite RPG's for SNES include Final Fantasy 2, Final Fantasy 3, and Chrono Trigger all by SquareSoft. Other good ones are Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Zelda 3: a Link to the Past, and Breath of Fire 2. If you do all of those other nice ones I have are: Lufia I, Lufia 2, EarthBound, Breath of Fire, Paladins's Quest, 7th Saga, Lagoon, Soulblazer, and more. Good luck and have fun ;-)

Dear DJ.
SOme of the games you listed are some that I have tried and contain combat. Which one of those listed do not require you to go to combat to get to the next level. Thanks

[email protected]

Perhaps we are not talking on the same wavelength. Final Fantasy the Mystic Quest had battles and levels to raise and experience. The only difference from that and, say, Final Fantasy 2 is that if you don't react, the enemies fight, but I enjoy that. When you said FIGHTING, I thought you meant real-time action, such as Mortal Kombat where a press of the button means the fling of a punch. In the games I listed for the most part, you choose to fight or use magic and it does it for you. I'll catagorize the games for you.

***** Catagory 1: Can't see enemies and uses menus and battle modes *****

Final Fantasy 2, Final Fantasy 3, Breath of Fire 2, Lufia I, Breath of Fire, 7th Saga (radar), Paladins's Quest

***** Catagory 2: Can see enimies, but uses menus and battle modes *****

Chrono Trigger, Lufia 2, FF: MQ, EarthBound

***** Catagory 3: Can see enemies and press a button to swing sword or jump (eg) *****

Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Zelda 3: a Link to the Past, Lagoon, Soulblazer

Note that all the above games, excepting Zelda (still an epic), are Role-playing games, and involve battles (maybe not "FIGHTING") and experience. If that clarifies things, I'm glad and email me a list of which games you like because of the inaction part and more puzzling part. Otherwise try to clarify exactly what type of puzzle and mystery game you want. Although I'd take my advice that all of the above games are of the highest quality and are definitely worth playing. Good luck either way :-)

Subject: breath of fire 2

is it possible to get into shops and inns using back doors? also, how do you raise katt's magic powers?

thanks. leslie

Breath of Fire 2 is a cool game, and Katt is a real character ;-7. I do not beleive that you can enter the back entry way (or else I would have gotten all the cool treasures by now). I have also noticed that even after you have had Katt for a while, she continues to not have the potential to cast any of the ultrageous (coined it myself) spells such as FireX (I think). The only things I can think of are that she is meant not to have a strong Magic ability (but rather a physical attack) and that later in the game a cool demo comes on where Katt's curiousity leads her to an ultimate magical power. If the preceding events never happen, levels and magic items will raise magic potential and power. Now which items those are, I don't know.
In my game, I have gone through the restaurant for the royal jewelry in the toilet and have entered a cooking contest, Pierre against the imposter. I just beat the worm. If I get a cool demo or reach a level such that Katt gains the ability of magic, I'll let you know. For now, good luck and happy fire breathing

I cant figure out how to get the red ring in "The Legend Of Zelda...can you tell me how.....email=> [email protected]

It's been a long time for me. I don't have time at the moment, but remind me, and if I have time, I can check for you. But I may be able to help you with the little memory I have: I beleive it's in one of the eyes, but underground passages are necessary to get there. Probably at least 4, I think. You go in the first passage which I think brings you to a set of rooms: one of which has a patra (gold w/ 8 blue spinning) and a man on black floor north. I suppose you want to go to the man and then west (left (Well I hope you know that if you've gotten this far)). From here it's a bit fuzzy in my mind, but I think it's in the right eye and you work your way there from the , well I'm just guessing at this point, so good luck. Let me know if this didn't help you that much. Then I can check my Nintendo Powers when I have a spare moment. Zelda's a cool game :-)

Hi pal I'm having a hard time with this game and I need your help. I have all the items except the hook shot and the staff of somaria. I need to know how to get the special bomb to enter the pyramid and how can i get the cryistal for the forest in the dark world ' Please Email me as soon as possible with this information . thank you Email [email protected]
Don't you get the hook shot in the 2nd Dark Palace? Have you completed that palace? I don't think you can without the grappling hook. Now, the Staff of somaria's tough. Do you have something that makes you invisible? If you do, I know what you should do.
I got the cyristal from 5 and 7 I can't get into 2 because i need the hook shot if you can tell me how to get in 2 I'll be happy thank you. [email protected]
I beleive you get the hook-shot in level 2, so to get in, it's a bit tricky. All you do is go to the 2nd palace's location in the light world (using the mirror). Enter the palace and push the right gears to make the water go away. When you come back to the dark world, the water will have gone up and you can swim about. Good luck, adventurer!
