1. The subtitled versions are completely uncut! While the english dubbed versions may be missing scenes that the dubbing companies don't feel are comfortable for mainstream audiences. 2. The subtitled versions always have the entire original music, while the dubbed versions sometimes replace the original music with much worse "new" music. 3. The subtitled versions feature the voices of professional anime voice-actors who are chosen after dozens of auditions. The dubbed versions feature the pathetic voices of whoever the dubbing companies can get to do the voices for the cheapest price; this results in totally unconvincing "acting" for the english dubbed version, which can often completely ruin the anime. 4. The subtitled versions feature the most accurate english translations of the original script. The dubbing companies usually change the parts of the script in the dubbed version which they think audiences may be too unintelligent to understand (pretty insulting isn't it?).So basically, if you want to see Japanese Animation the way the creators intended you to see it (rather than a simplified, inferior dubbed version) then SUBTITLED versions are the only way to go!
